No takers. Called their bluff, i guess.

Hawaii also tried to play BCS schools at their place. Michigan in Ann Arbor, for example.

You play who you play. Also, final scores shouldn't matter at all. There are so many variables that go into a game (injuries, fatigue, opponent's game plan, MOMENTUM). All that matters is that they do what they're supposed to do: win.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300907.post-68455426295114714012007-11-29T14:25:00.000-05:002007-11-29T14:25:00.000-05:00....you need to take advantage of your 4 non-confe.......you need to take advantage of your 4 non-conference games and schedule some real opponents.

Hawaii tried to play other teams, but no one would. I don't have the exact teams, I'm a girl here in Hawaii, ok. But it was said that when we tried to schedule, no one would accept because of the "travel." It "costs" too much and God forbid if they actually lost. Plus the time in the air would affect their play, again, God forbid if they actually lost! I'll be at the game Saturday, go WARRIORS!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300907.post-8616974884138970592007-11-27T22:23:00.000-05:002007-11-27T22:23:00.000-05:00Hawaii played TWO opponents with a winning record....Hawaii played TWO opponents with a winning record.

If you're not in a BCS conference....realistically, if you're not in the Big 10, Big 12, SEC or Pac-10....you need to take advantage of your 4 non-conference games and schedule some real opponents.AgRyan04https://www.blogger.com/profile/14605683807823223026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300907.post-68786732085064682852007-11-27T18:09:00.000-05:002007-11-27T18:09:00.000-05:00schedule huh?ohio state: youngstown state, akron,...schedule huh?

ohio state: youngstown state, akron, kent state.

west virginia: western michigan, marshall, lost to south florida

hawaii: charleston southern, northern colorado, michigan state (by forfeit they chickened out)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300907.post-37584195258643999032007-11-27T17:40:00.000-05:002007-11-27T17:40:00.000-05:00I thought most of the points were relevant. To also see if that one loss by Kansas was just a fluke.
Let them settle it on the field.
Oh! I forgot, that would mean the 6 BCS conferences would lose money. Their schedule stunk this year. I bet 50% of bigger conference teams could have gone undeafeated against that schedule. Two other teams from their conference had winning records and their non-conference foes went 12-34. You gotta earn reapect in college football.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32300907.post-7693856851943543242007-11-27T13:25:00.000-05:002007-11-27T13:25:00.000-05:00The three wins thing really kills your attempt to ...The three wins thing really kills your attempt to make them look good.
